My previous camping setup was a thin pad and a personal philosophy that "sleeping on roots builds character." The Avora Summit ended that philosophy overnight.
What won me over? it comes out of the bag ready to use, no assembly, no missing-bolt scavenger hunt. Unfold it and you're done. The tufted, padded mattress is thick enough that I stopped feeling every pinecone in the county, and it detaches, so I could shake the forest out of it without fighting the frame. At 74.41" long, it fit me with room to spare, and the 500 lb capacity means the steel frame doesn't flinch when I flop down at the end of a long hike.
Packs down properly: at about 18 lb, it isn't ultralight, but it rides in the car easily and the storage bag keeps everything together. It's a base-camp cot, not a backpacking one, and it's great at that job.
The mattress is the star, but give the legs a firm press into soft ground so they don't sink on pine needles. Black is a smart pick for hiding campsite dirt.
Straight up 5stars because its fast to set up, and comfortable enough that I slept in past sunrise, which is not something I usually do outdoors.
