Avora Summit Camp Chair
AVORA Summit Camp Chair
The problem with camp chairs is where to put the coffee. This one answers it in the frame itself: a flat side table at seat height, joined to the chair, so the ground stops being the only surface you have.
In everyday use
It opens out of the bag in two movements and stands on four wide feet that spread the load on soft ground. The seat is 21.5 inches across and sits at 19 inches, low and deep rather than upright, so it's a chair for the long part of an evening. To the left of it the side table gives you 21.5 by 11 inches of flat surface with a cup hole punched through it and a mesh sleeve underneath to steady the bottom of a bottle. A mesh pocket runs along the side for small things, and a larger one behind the backrest takes a book or a folded layer. It carries 330 lbs and weighs 10.5 lbs itself.
What sets it apart
Side table in the frame
A rigid 21.5" × 11" surface sits at seat height as part of the chair, with a 4" cup hole set into it.
Two mesh pockets
A compartmented pocket along the side keeps small things findable; a large one across the back takes a book or a layer.
330 lb capacity
The frame is rated to 330 lbs.
Padded armrests that fold
The armrests are padded sleeves and fold in when the chair collapses.
Anti-sink feet
Wide caps on the ends of the X-frames spread the load so the legs don't push into soft ground.
PU-coated oxford
The seat, back and table are PU-coated oxford cloth, described by the manufacturer as tear-resistant and quick-drying.
Packs to a bag
It folds to a slim bundle in the shoulder bag it comes with, 38.5" × 7" × 7".
Why we chose it
The chair-with-a-table idea usually arrives as a floppy fabric sling bolted to a cup holder, and it never quite holds anything. We chose this one because the table is a proper flat panel, tensioned across its own X-frame and sitting at the same height as the seat — you can put a plate on it. The asymmetry that creates is the whole character of the piece: it isn't a chair with an accessory, it's one wide object that happens to seat one. A 19-inch seat and a 17.5-inch back put you in a relaxed posture rather than an upright one, which tells you what it's for. Two of these facing each other make a table between them.
