The grill has a lid and nowhere to put anything down. Everything else — the board, the tongs, the plates coming out, the plates going back — ends up on a garden chair. This is the surface that ends that, and it wheels to wherever you're cooking.
In everyday use
The steel top gives you 40.7 inches of clear prep space at 36 inches high, which is standard counter height, so you work standing straight. It's stainless, so it takes a hot pan straight off the grill and wipes down afterwards. Underneath, three open shelves hold the things you want to see and a closed cabinet holds the things you don't. A shallow tray hangs off one end for oils and rubs; a rail below it takes a towel. When the party moves, the cart moves: four swivel casters, two of which lock.
