You get to the spot later than planned, the light is going, and nobody wants to spend the last of it reading instructions. Poles through sleeves, clips on, stakes in — and then you can go and look at the view.

In everyday use

This is a dome tent for the kind of trip where the car is nearby: a weekend by the water, a festival, a first night out with the kids. The two-person version gives you a 7 by 5 foot floor and packs down to a bag two feet long; the four-person is 9 by 7 with 58 inches of headroom, which is enough to sit up, change, and keep everyone's bags off the beds. Mesh on the door and the side windows, vents at the floor and skylights overhead, so it moves air on a warm night. There's a cable port low on one wall if you're running a light from a power bank, and two mesh pockets inside for the things you don't want to lose in the dark.

Up in a few minutes
The supplier puts setup at three to five minutes with no tools. Simple dome frame, clear pole positions, composite clips onto the poles.

Air on every side
