In everyday use

The chairs are wide — 29.5 inches across, with a 23-inch seat and full-height woven arms on both sides, so this is a proper armchair rather than a patio seat with edges. The seat sits low at 11.75 inches and the table stands at 17.75, which makes it a place for coffee, a glass and a phone rather than a meal. Black cushions on both the seat and the back come as part of the set, and every cover unzips. It arrives flat and needs assembling.

Why we chose it

The mixed grey is the reason. Most outdoor rattan comes in one flat tone, which looks fine in a studio and dead on a terrace; this weave runs pale silver strands through a mid grey, so it catches light the way a natural material would. Black cushions against it is a deliberate, high-contrast choice rather than the usual beige. We also chose the wide chair over the compact one — 29.5 inches gives you somewhere to sit sideways with your legs over an arm, and that's the difference between a chair you use and a chair you walk past.
