Six people, one table, and somewhere to put everything down. It arrives folded flat under one arm, opens in about the time it takes to carry the first crate over, and turns a patch of grass into somewhere you can sit and eat properly.

In everyday use

At 180 cm it's a full dining length rather than a side table — enough room for plates, boards and the things that always end up in the middle. It folds in three to a flat case with a handle on the edge, so it travels standing up in the boot instead of taking the whole floor. The legs lock into position when it's set, which is the part that matters once there are elbows on it. Black top, silver frame, and it wipes down at the end of the night.

Why we chose it
